Transactions
Record and manage financial operations within a ledger.
Transactions are the primary mechanism for recording financial activity in Infrarails.
Every transaction belongs to a ledger and contains one or more accounting entries that describe its financial effects.
Transactions provide a structured record of financial movements, their processing status, and associated metadata.
Understanding transactions
A transaction represents a financial operation performed within a ledger.
Examples include:
- Transferring funds between accounts.
- Issuing value into the accounting system.
- Retiring value from the accounting system.
- Recording internal financial movements.
A transaction connects the business operation to the corresponding accounting records.
